Rev. Henry & First Lady Martha Caldwell
At the First Church of God Ministries, we are led by our Pastor, Rev. Caldwell. He was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina and was a high school All American in basketball - even making it to the 1977 Final Four Team for UNC Charlotte. With a BA degree in Political Science, Rev. Caldwell is a well-educated and experienced leader. He is married to his lovely wife, Martha, and they have a blended family of four sons: Kevin, Julius, Henry, Jason, and seven grandchildren: Savannah, Crystanie, Lily, Keciah, Aryton, Ivy, and Hope.
Our church is dedicated to helping people grow in their faith and fostering a sense of community. We strive to provide a welcoming environment for all and hope to bring people closer to God.
Our Pastor
At First Church of God Ministries, we are committed to providing people with a place to come together and celebrate their faith. Our pastor, Rev. H. Caldwell, has a long history of providing leadership, spiritual guidance and direction in his community. He began his ministry at Siegal Ave. Church of God in Charlotte, NC. He remained under the leadership of pastor W.D. Bailey until a job change relocated him to the midwestern states of Michigan and Nebraska. In 2003, he relocated to Raleigh, NC, and joined First Church of God. Since then, he has served in various roles, including Minister, President of the Churchmen, Elder, and Bus Driver, and was even Interim Pastor from 2012-2016. Our pastor is ordained and was accepted to the pastorate on July 3, 2016, under the Church of God in Anderson, IN. He also ministers in various locations, including men's and women's prisons, nursing homes, hospitals, and more.
